Lynn M. Holley, Managing Director
Lynn Holley is a national award-winning communications professional for her feature writing, marketing, public relations, publications and event management. In 2000, she was the Festival Director for the Silvestre Revueltas Music Festival in Santa Barbara, celebrating the Mexican composer’s 100th Birthday, under the artistic direction of Gisele Ben-Dor. Ms. Holley has served as an Executive Director of non-profit foundations in Santa Barbara and in New York, and has managed successful fund raising campaigns and events. She has been a public relations executive and consultant for numerous corporations and academic institutions, including American Express, Bard College, Empire State College and Rensselaer. She has worked with many celebrities and politicians including Bob Hope, Christopher Reeve, Mario Cuomo, and the former director of NASA and the Apollo Moon Landing. She was curator of the George M. Low Memorial NASA exhibit, which contributed to her receiving a gold medal award from Washington, DC. She wrote and produced Broadway Women and their Music, starring Luci Arnez, and three concerts for Vermont singer Elizabeth von Trapp. Ms Holley was instrumental in establishing, and was the curator of the Fredda and Harris Meisel Gallery of Art, in Santa Barbara. She holds a B.S. in Communications from the State University of New York, Empire State College. She is a member of Santa Barbara Associates and the National Society for Arts in Healthcare.

Ms. Burger has been with the Santa Barbara Symphony for 19 years and has served jointly as the Education & Outreach Coordinator for the last fifteen years. She most recently became Community Relations Director after serving as Marketing Director for 17 years. She received her BA degree from Eastern College, Pennsylvania and her MA from University of Redlands, California.
She is a member of the American Symphony Orchestra League and acts as the Performing Arts League representative between the California Arts Council, California Advocates and Santa Barbara Visual Arts League. In the past she served on the Board of the Education Committee for the Association of California Orchestras (ACSO) for three consecutive years.
Ms. Burger also has worked as Community Relations Coordinator at St. Francis Hospital and freelanced as Marketing Director for the Santa Barbara Grand Opera. She currently freelances for the State Street Ballet of Santa Barbara.
In 1984, she founded and chaired ARTCOM, an association of performing arts organizations that has now evolved into the Santa Barbara Performing Arts League. She currently serves on the following Boards: The Music & Arts Conservatory of Santa Barbara; President of the Santa Barbara Performing Arts League; the Santa Barbara Performing Arts Scholarship Foundation; and Vice President of the Downtown Organization. She had served on the Santa Barbara Conference & Visitors Bureau & Film Commission for a three-year term. Other interests include Southwest archeology, astronomy, watercolor, and piano.

Charles McDermott
A third-generation native of Santa Barbara, Charles McDermott is a music writer and educator. He received an undergraduate degree in philosophy from Santa Clara University and a masters degree in music from the University of Oregon. He holds a Ph.D. in music history from the University of California, Berkeley.
As a writer he has written extensively on Renaissance keyboard music and the 20th century music teacher Nadia Boulanger . As an educator he has taught at the College of Marin, the Thacher School in Ojai and the University of California. He was founding music director of the Ojai Camerata.
Mr. McDermott has an extensive career as a speaker and program annotator for symphony orchestras and music festivals throughout the United States including the Oregon Bach Festival, Palm Springs Chamber Music Festival, Ojai Festival, and the Santa Barbara Symphony. Additionally he serves as Artistic Administrator of the New West Symphony, where he is Artistic Director of the annual critically-acclaimed world music festival Musics Alive!
